i dont know,,, kind of weird looking to me... looks more like a plug for something than a mushroom!!!! mushrooms are more flared out like an umbrella no????

mushrooms come in many shapes. i wanted to show off the wood coloring more than the shape. i cut alot of manzanita for ny bird product bus. and now im catching myself looking at the end grain every cut i make. i have piles of scraps that would have been good for turning if i got on them right away but now they are only good for bbqing.

Looks good, that wood is beautiful. Does the color hold over time?

the color does hold with as long as it has some type of finish on it.

this is the same mushroom dipped in lye and water. changes it dramatically. this is why i dont use it on manzanita.
