Anyone in the north texas (dallas) area know where I can find a sharpening service for planer, jointer & miter/tablesaw blades?

You can check with Woodcraft. In Houston we send ours to Kochs in New Braunfels. They do very good work.

If that is Tim Cook in New Braunfels, I'll second it.

Watch his machine work. Half a million bucks worth of saw grinding automation.

Do u ever go to D & R on Harry Hines? They R good people.

I live in Denton and I go to their "show" each Nov. Well worth the trip within metroplex.

In Denton we have Kelley's; they do good work.

In New Braunfels; the Koch family is know for quality.......

In Houston call Alexander Schroeder on Lawndale and ask for help; they were always happy to help when I lived in "H". Ray Gerdes in beautifur Texas

I'll second D&R Saw and tool on Harry Hines in Dallas or Leitz Tooling in Garland

Anybody know what grit these Dallas sharpeners grind to? One I've found here in Ft Worth only goes up to 320, and that seems a little harsh to me. Jim.

if you are talking top end then it is at least 400 amd more typically 600 grit. A 400 followed by a 600 is also common.
