Alas, American Idol isn't about finding amazingly talented singers. It's about finding young pop stars to exploit. How many modern young pop stars are actually really good singers? Nope, not many.

I do think Jennifer Hudson (former Idol contestant) is an amazing singer. As for the other winners, not so much.
