Does anyone have a good source for holly?

Wyatt, I live on 10 acres in the town of "Holly" Springs, NC. It's appropriately named as our farm is thick with the stuff.

I prowl the neighborhood when additions are being built. Got one Holly trunk that way. I have seen it for sale on the bay tho.

Seems like the guy from 'Cedar' City and the guy from 'Holly' Springs should be able to come to some sort of arrangement.

I live about 20 miles west of Walnut, can I play too?

Hi Wyatt
The best holly ( pure white) that I have found is from a company in Pa called Tech-wood,Inc. I have tried other places, even tried to dry my own but his quality is the best. Ask for Larry and tell him that Mike from Woodworking Plus sent you.1-717-933-8989

I bought some yesterday at the Reno NV Woodcraft store. Small stock, Big price. 4/4 was 26.50/bf, 8/4 was 28.50/bf. I have to get it when I am traveling, because I have no local supplier, and I refuse to order exotic wood sight unseen. That's how many suppliers get rid of their junk.

I live on Spruce Creek in an area known as Oak Point.

Sounds like we got the makings of a lumber yard.

I have some Holly, two 4' trunks about 8 inches in diameter - it's greying some, developing character in the white wood. Could cut a chunk or two - PM me if interested. mike
