Does anyone make a riving knife for the grizzly 1023 left tilt table saw that is affordable? Any suggestions on where to look.

I just ordered the "Shark Splitter" kit for my new G1023. Haven't received it yet, but it's probably as close to a real riving knife as you'll find.

I'm happy to let you know what I think of it after I've installed it.

Well, I pulled away from this to do a search here on the Creek, and ended up replying to the searched thread! What a dummie!!!:o:o:o

So here is the info again incase you miss the other thread I resurrected.

A guy named Bob (can't remember the last name, sorry Bob) has what he calls a bolt on riving knife, or **** for short. I know he has posted here. But here is his order page: http://shop.walnutacrewoodworking.co...=1&productId=8 (http://shop.walnutacrewoodworking.com/product.sc?categoryId=1&productId=8) Several people have them and say they work well. While it's not a true riving knife, it is very close. At certain blade heights, the knife has to be adjusted to stay below the blade height. For through cuts, it wouldn't be a problem to just let it ride a little higher, so for most cuts, it would not have to be messed with. Well worth looking into. I understand he has models for several different saws, but the 1023 was the first to come out. Jim.
