Hello Everyone,

Do you have an image of a semi with a flatbed truck? I need it about 15 inches long and when I try to re-size an image I have all pixels. I am rastering this on a big piece of wood.

One like this would be great or if someone can size this one for me I would really appreciate it. I am clipart illiterate!

Thank You!http://prodimages.flatpyramid.net/watermarked_thumbnail.aspx?img=sellerproducts%2F11 9%2Fprodimages%2F10896%2D07%2Ejpg

Mike,

It really has to look like the one I posted but this will work for another job I have to do. Can you tell me how to work with the one I have?

Sincerely,
Phyllis

Hi Phyllis,

How big is the original picture?

When you enlarge an picture, it just separates the pixels and fills in the gaps with what it hopes are the correct colors for each adjoining dot (pixel). There are a lot of methods used, but the bottom line is, they all guess at what colors or shading to use. Quite educated guesses in a lot of instances, but a guess non the less.

If that is as big as the original is, then expanding that to 15" is going to get very strung out and grainy as there is no extra data to work with.

You need to get the biggest pic possible or one that has been Vectorized. once Vectorized the size is not an issue as everything is relative to real world measurements and no guessing is required.

You could try here...
http://vectormagic.com/home
http://www.vectordoctor.com/pricing.html
http://www.copyartwork.com/

I have not used any of those sites, but have them bookmarked in case I need them someday.

p.s.
Not sure what the copyright legality is of Vectoring someone else's graphic. Might want to tread carefully there.

Phyllis

give this a try. Re-sizing these 4 times is nearly impossible.

Email on the way also.

Phyllis,

Takes Mike's blown up image and apply a sharpening mask to it. That will help...

Phyllis I actually don't have much in the way of trucks, least of all flatbed. The one's that you want are American Mac type trucks which we do not have in abundance over here, hence no storing of clipart of it for me. However you are welcome to some of what I have, but I doubt it will be as good as what has been posted here already. Didn't Justin do something not so long ago with really good graphics of trucks? I'm sure he'd help if you pm him.

Just added flatbed.zip - it's the one Mike posted above but in eps format - pretty good considering, but resizeable.
