Today is the funeral of a good friend of mine - Searcy Simpson

He was my friend, co-worker, mentor, and my spiritual brother.
He was an ex-marine full or integrity, compassion, honor, and a man of both steel and velvet.
He leaves behind his young wife and son (17) of whom I know, respect, and hurt for this very day.

Today is the day that I will reflect and show my respect for Searcy and his family as well as remembering all the good and tough times we've been through together over the years.

Searcy my friend....you are missed already. Rest In Peace my friend.

Thanks for sharing Dennis. It's part of the healing process, though it won't be immediate. Prayers to the family and extended family for the loss. Jim.

You (and your friend's family) will be in our family's thoughts and prayers! Very hard to say goodbye to a friend, and you are so right to remember him and speak about him. I know it's a day of mourning, but celebrate his life...I bet he would want you to remember a good time you shared!

No Marine passes on and is left alone. His entrance to heaven is guaranteed. Who do you think guards the gates.
