Hi guys-
I really enjoy spending time on this forum. I am a new member. Gloat---> I recently picked up a used PM66 (1996) for my shop! The shark guard is also already on order:D.

In the rest of my shop i have a delta planer, Jet closedbase joiner, jet closedbase bandsaw, RAS, homemade router table, miter box, OSS, PM 73 dustcollector, and a large assortment of portable power tools.

I have some cabinets to build so I would like to purchase a dado blade for the PM66. What do you guys recommend??? Thank you!!!

First off, Welcome!
Sounds like you have some good tools there. From what I have read, you’ll enjoy that PM66.
As far as a dado blade goes, many will recommend the Freud or Forrest stacked sets. Depending on your budget, you can find sets as low as $40. Some say the HF (Harbor Freight) one works well for them, while others, like myself, recommend the Oshlun 8” stacked set for $80 or 6” for $65. Freud will run you about $99 Min. depending on the set. (Freud makes a great blade too)

SMC has a great search feature. Search the forum and see what others have to say. Here is a link to a recent thread I started when asking the same question. This will get you going.

Welcome David!

I've been pretty happy with my Freud SD508 (http://www.amazon.com/Freud-SD508-Super-8-Inch-Stack/dp/B00004RK0P/)

And keeping with tradition... "Pics or it didn't happen." ;)

It depends how much you want to spend, and how good you want it to cut in different materials. Myself and a bunch of other members recently bought an Oshlun 8" set from holbren.com. It is a great price and cuts very nice. I cut some dados in birch plywood and melamine with it the other night and it didn't have any chip out. For the few times I have used it I think it is a heck of a deal, for a dado with 42 tooth cutters, and 6 tooth chippers.

Welcome to the Creek. Feel free to stick your toes in anytime. As for dado sets; I have the Freud 8" set from Lowes for about $99 plus tax. I think the guys at the orange store sell the same set. Good set for my limited use.
