I've been looking for a new tool to buff my turnings with, and found a really neat looking buffer at Caswell Plating. I decided to buy a small 1725 motor from HF and use the Beall system I already had instead, but if I was going to get a larger setup, this is the one I'd use. Go to their site and look on the 'buffing' tab, and find the 1100 (!) RPM, 3/4 HP unit that is on sale at the present time. Looks awesome, and it's the slowest full size unit I've run across. I almost runied a box the other day using my 3450 grinder as a buffer. Anyone seen anthing similar? Mike

If you're interested, the buffer -- complete with several buffing wheels, but no compound -- costs $262.36. Without the wheels, the cost is $189.20. Here's the link: http://www.caswellplating.com/buffs/34hpbuffkit.html

I believe that pice is for the buffer only.

You're right. I've made a correction to my post above.
