guy mathews of new wave scanned a chess set for me, we are slicing files in 2" slabs and carving in hdu 6# material then they are sprayed with an epoxy the hard shell them.

it is a massive project but truly has all the elements we are working to teach new cnc, file production, scanning (more from guy later) toolpathing and machining

Thats a big job James, looks like you will be busy for a long time.
I would like to know more about spraying epoxy when you get to that part of the job.

Jim,

I am honored and humbled by your praise, and at the same time I am as proud as all hell to see my scanning and modeling work come to life in your shop.

I am only 33% of the talent that is on this project. Because I also know what goes into getting a file ready to mill, holding it down, bit selection, and cutting strategies, I can honestly say that the true credit for this project is going not only to your shop, but Aspire's ability to slice and render toolpaths for 3D models. In addition, Dave plays a part in this as well as do the the other CAMaster owners that are helping to carve this wonderful project.

...if I were to die tomorrow I would die with pride. Just knowing that some of my work will live on not only in your community, but other communities and companies that may contract to have these produced is almost as fulfilling as the love of my family.

"Thank" you to the other 66% involved for the incredible honor of seeing my work produced somewhere other then my shop.
