I finally took the plunge and bought a few festool products. Although I haven't had the time to try all of them out, I was able to give the vac, drill, and one of the sanders a workout today. I like how they stack, and how portable they can be; very handy around the shop. Of course the tools are top notch and the dust extraction is super; what dust!!!

On the left side of the Picture from top to bottom are
RS400EQ sander - hooked up and working on a project
Systainer to store sandpaper for the RS400
Systainer for the RS400
ETS150/3 6" ROS in Systainer
Systainer for cleaning tools and a 36mm hose
CT22E Dust Extractor (very cool)

In the middle is the FS1080 guide rail. The holes are for 32mm system work.

On the right side of the Picture from top to bottom are
Systainer for storing 6" diameter sandpaper
ROTEX 6" sander (a bit more aggressive than the ETS150/3) in Systainer
OF1010EQ router in Systainer - can't wait to use it
Systainer with hole drilling set (for 32mm shelf pins and euro hinges)
Sortainer - I'll probably store some screws and stuff in here
Systainer to store TDD12FXX drill - The drill already hangs on the wall.
Systainer cart - 4 swivel casters, two lockable, very handy unit.

"little gloat" is an understatement :D . At the rate Festool is growing it's going make all the other manufacturers sit down and figure out how to compete...

Wow, pretty impressive Festool equipment. Let us know how you like them.

BTW, any news about a Systainer for the Lamello?

Regards,

Christian

Gee Steve, I shudder to think what you would consider a "large" gloat! Congrats on all the new bright green! I'm sure you'll love using ALL of them!

I received an email from Lamello that was fairly terse, "we don't have plans for a systainer at this time". Looking at the Cantex it might be too large to fit in the standard systainer although it would probably fit in the maxitainer (double wide systainer). The Cantex and the Festool vac work nicely together though. I use a Fein adapter, properly cut up, and I can easily mate the Lamello Cantex to the Festool hose. This setup is sweet.

Steve,

I'm all envious. I would just like to get the vac and sander. Oh well, some day.

Congrats, and have fun trying them all out.
