I'm looking for a source of cocobolo that is dry. I need stock at least 2"x2"x3", but longer spindles would be useful too. I tried Bell Forest products, and they might have something dry but aren't sure. I am making tools with steel shafts, so I need wood that isn't going to change shape or crack on me. It doesn't have to be the prettiest wood ever, as it is a working tool, not a decorative item. If you know a aplce to get dry cocobolo turning stock, please let me know! Right now I only need a couple pieces.

Reel Lumber in Riverside. They also have a place in Orange County, maybe Anaheim.

I have bought several pieces for tool handles, a plane body, an infill plane, box parts and an urn. In every case the wood was beautiful, dry, no splits or problems. The charged $22 / bf.

Call Mitch at Tropical Exotic Hardwoods in Carlsbad, CA. He has tons of the stuff and is "the cocobolo man". Phil

+1 Philip.

They traffic more cocobolo than any other vendor. Look at their website and you'll see what i'm talking about.

How much are you looking for? lol... you can bulk order HUNDREDS of spindles with a mouse click.

try groff and groff lumber, or righteous hardwoods.
