A trio of eggs

During my quest to be a better turner I found that one of the most difficult thing to turn are eggs. Seeing that it "tis the season" and the fact that I love a challenge led me to try a few. They were not easy and they are not perfect but I turned:
A solid
A hollow
And a kaleidoscope.

The first egg has the most pleasing shape. However I have a page on my reference board from an old encyclopedia that has pics of approx 100 eggs. Your egg shapes are well within the form of real eggs. Eggs are fun and you can use up a lot of nice figured wood making them. They are also quite marketable.

Dewey - real nice variety of eggs! I really like the hollow form (duh!) and it's detail ring! I think what I enjoy most about your turnings is your use of imagination and your ability to take a common form and step it up!

You did good on those Dewey. I like the shape of the solid, and the Kaliedascope the best. My pick is the Kaliedascope for the best of the 3. I think Ol Mr cottontail would be proud to take any of the 3 down the trail with him.

Thanks for all the comments. It seems most of you like my work which drives me to try new and creative things. I have more ideas but no time so it might be a few weeks before I can post my next work.
