This is a mantle that i made from sinker cypress, and finished in a honey pine.

Very nice. How did you attach it to the brick fireplace surround? -Howard

Very nice Pete. It looks great. I've heard of sinker cypress, but don't really know what it is. How is it to work with?

Great job Pete! I have two I need to build for a friend but they will be out of white oak which I don't really like working with. How was the crypress to work with? The only thing I have made out of crypress was a boat rudder 25 years ago!

Your mantle is quite beautiful. I love working with Cypress. It has the nicest warm color. I wish it was available here. How about sending me a truck load? :D

Fantastic!!! I like it. Sinker Cypress is cypress that has been under the water for a long time then harvested?

Great job Pete. Is there a mail order source for that sinker cypress?
