I've always admired my buddy Keith Burns' flat top series, it inspired me to do one. I think mine falls short of his but the bride like it so I guess its a keeper. Measures 5 wide x 6 high, sealcoat finish. Thanks for looking.

Mike,
How wide is the flat spot on the foot/bottom?

Very nice work Mike! I am sure Keith will appreciate the tribute! I know how hard this style can be to hollow -about how thin did you turn it? Really like your finial!
Glad to seeing you posting again!

I was aiming for 1/4 inch, but had to leave it just a little thicker in that corner. That inclusion was getting weak.

Mike - I noticed the inclusion and thought you did a good job on being able to keep it in place. I have had many of them take off on me while turning!
1/4" is a good thickness and I would expect the corners to be a little thicker - just the nature of the style! Nice work!

Very nice, first time to see one on the creek. One to see if I could do something like it someday.
