Finally got my Woodpecker saw gauge [also made by Pinnacle]. Spent about a half hour checking the parallelism of the saw blade, mitre slots and fence and adjusted the fence to slant out 3 one thousands of an inch. For my first test cut set the fence and ripped a four foot long straight piece of 3/4 inch maple trying to cut a thin strip. To my amazement the saw ripped a very thin continuous strip the full length of the board. The strip measures an accurate 1/64 inch thick for its entire length with no burning. Tells me that the blade and fence are really nice and parallel thanks to the saw guage. A nicely made quality tool. The only down side is that you rarely have to use it. Too bad you can't rent them.
