ok, so i got my set of 5 cobalt bits yesterday, 10% cobalt 3 inches by 3/8. 25$ so what angle should they be ground to mor hollow form tools? i know that it will change the speed of cutting and the amount of catches

Curtis, about a 60 degree angle will do fine. Keep in mind that a 3/8" bit can be quite grabby when trying to make more exacting cuts however it's generally OK for clearing a lot of wood early on in the hollowing process. A 3/16 bit is probably more widely used.

i was planning on grinding one with a square edge and one that was really round

Curtis - I sharpen all my hollowing bits and scrapers at the same angle - saves on confusion. I have mine set at 74*.
