Wooden hinge strength

I did a little experiment tonight. I broke 2 hinges purposely. One was made with top saw material, the other made with 1/4 saw material. Both are very strong but the 1/4 saw hinge was stronger. In addition my experiment will continue. I'm going to coat the individual pieces in cyanoacrylate and let them dry, then assemble them. I'll keep you updated on the hinge strength.:D

I for one am interested... if you could include the intended usage and size you are testing on when you get more data, that would also be helpful.
