This was from some wood that i've had lying around that I've never wanted to touch because it was oh so nice. The Box part is figured myrtle, about 1.9 inches in diameter. The arch and lid are beeswing figure narra. Whole thing sits about 6.5 inches high. Somewhat of a learning experience. I figured out afterwords that putting some scrap on the sides of the rectangular narra would have helped keep it from blowing out. Spent around 4-6 hours sanding the base off the lathe. Critiques encouraged, Btw what would you guys price something like this at?

If I asked $100 for it do you think people would think that the price is ridiculous?

Nice piece... I'd price it at the cost of wood, Plus, 4-6 hours labor at what you think your hourly time is worth, Plus, from 20 to 30 percent profit.
