LOML and I... a quarter century today.

Time flies.....

Anticipating the question - dinner tonight, a trip south to buy a vacation/retirement home this summer.

Congratulations on making it 25 years and best wishes. I can't seem to do that. I did make it 24 years and 11 months once.

We just eclipsed 10 years last December and it is hard to believe it's been that long. Seems only a couple years ago I noticed her walking into the class room in grad school.... :)

Congratulations and happy shopping...prices should be down for real estate but tough to call a bottom yet.

Wait till you guys get to 40. We did 41 in Jan.
When you've been together that long you start thinking alike. :D

With all that is going on in the world, I find this type of post uplifting. I feel like a newlywed around some of you guys, coming up on 23.

Congrats to you both. I am envious of your commitment. I lost the LOML as a young man many years ago and still think of her (too) often.

Best wishes to you.

Why is it that you never hear of someone in "The South" wanting to retire to the north..... :)

Congratulations! A friend once told me that an anniversary is the only holiday you earn. No matter what you do, Christmas and your birthday come every year. But to make it to an anniversary ... you have to work at it.

We're coming up on 34 years this year, and I can't think of life without the LOML.

The LOML and I were a couple back in 1959, then my dad got a job in California so we had to part. We got back together in 2001 thanks to Classmates dot com and have been together for just under 10 years now so I guess we can say that we have a 50 year anniversary to celebrate along with a 10 year anniversary this year. May not be the same but still something to celebrate.

My one and only and I are celebrating #30 the end of April. Don't know waht I did before her and don't know what I'd do without her.

David - your's is a story like my sister's.

We used to have a vacation house in Nova Scotia. The family next door had 3 boys. The eldest is 1 year older than me and we became good friends over many years. He flies for Air Canada (32 years). My sister married a friend of his that he introduced her to and then he married and we lost close contact for about 20 years.

Well, he and my sister were divorced within a few years of each other and got back together and married - finally.

Friends from the age of 6, married at 49. They travel the world together anytime there's an empty seat. Spouses fly for free.
