This is # 2.
It went faster today then yesterday.

This one is Cocobolo
1 coat of Tung oil, 3 coats of lacquer, sanded, then one more coat of lacquer. then 3 layers of wax.

Very nice looking pen...Finish is interesting. I haven't tried anything that elaborate on the finish yet.

Great looking pen, looks like you're doing just fine. The friends and family love them but it can get expensive!

Nice work. :) Tung oil... hmmmm... I haven't tried that yet, on a pen. I have used lacquer to fill, and then topped it off with CA. Looks good! Is that a Designer kit?

Great looking pen. Finish looks really good. Did you burnish the tung oil in?

Yes I did. I applied the Oil then let it sit for awhile then before it started to flash I burnished it. I let it sit about 30 minutes then went to the lacquer. I have done this before and have never had an issue. This is the 1st time I have used this on a turning.

The kit came from Wood Craft and It is called European. If you PM me I will give you the kit number.
