Guess who got his camera fixed :-)

Check this out. My little girl. Helper chicken

She made the pen for a friend out of cherry. See the end picture. Agh! Ruined good cherry but she is worth it.

One person's blood is another persons favorite dye... :D

Seriously, that's really wonderful that she's taken some interest in what you do in the shop. It can be a life-long endeavor. But, I warn you, it will cost you a little...just ask Andy London. 'Bought a mini lathe and introduced his two kids to turning. Now needs a second lathe so both kids can turn at the same time...and a third for himself so he can get some turning time, too...hee hee

It's great that your daughter is interested in wood working... but you have to break it to her that flat work is where it's at ;)

Hey Rob,
I believe one of the most important things in life is to create pleasant memories in the minds of our children. Keep it up, you will never regret the time you spend with her.

Rob,

The smile on her face is worth all the cherry in the world! And the fact that she is making it for someone else is even better. Thanks for posting the pics.

Rob,
Looks like your shop partner is having big fun.You just provided me with some incentive to give my 8 year old daughter some lathe instruction. Last time we were in Woodcraft together she was picking out pen supplies. I've never turned a pen before, so I'll probably need some instruction myself.
