Looking good! It must be doubly satisfying making something beautiful with a tool you made yourself. Let us know how well it works.

Keoni:
Did you make it out of square steel stock? It looks great! Show us some of the HF's that you do.

All the best.

Jarrod the steel snake is an articulated hollowing system...much like the elbo tool or the Monster.

John that is a sturdy looking rig...Can't wait to see some of that exotic (to me) Hawaiian wood turned into HF's...Bill...

That thing looks massive!! Tell us more about it like if you used a plan or developed one of your own?? What did you use for the cutter and the cutter "holder"??

:) I followed Capt. Eddies Steel Snake Plans as well as Wayne Bower, Bill Bollen ans Bob Setsi. Used 1" square mild steel, oil impregnated bushings and sleeves. Jamieson and Sorby swivell cutter holders and 3/16 cutter tips. The holders also fit the Hunter round carbide cutter system. Won't be able to use it till I get back from a trade show in Nashville. Leaving 9:00 pm Hawaii time. Be gone a week.;)
