I'm posting here because I'm currently addicted to turning.
I have other "issues" with boat building..Wooden Campers..Cabinets..:rolleyes:
I look forward to exchanging ideas.

Next weekend is the NWA Showcase/AWA Totally Turning symposium in Saratoga NY. If you have the time, you might want to check it out. There are more than a few Creekers there and there are LOTS of tools and wood for sale... And all kinds of display pieces...

Welcome Steve, I grew up in Glens Falls, NY. Looking forward to seeing some of your projects.

Here are a couple of shots.
The first is a pair of natural edge bowls. Honey Locust, from an ice storm in January '09.
The other is Apple, about 4" at the rim. I did this one about 20 years ago.
I have quite a stockpile of "storm harvested wood" that I'm working on roughing out.
I also like to make tools. I made a set of Oland-type tools and a couple of hook tools. I'm still trying to figure out the hooks!:eek:

I noticed right off you announced your addiction to turning. In some 12 step programs that might be a first step to getting better, but here it is a first step into a never ending Vortex that will consume your money and your time. LOL.
