Looking for a source for dado and molding head inserts for Model 221240 Sears saw. Nothing listed in Sears for these two accessories. Saw was purchased new three years ago. No compliants except where do I go to find above items.

I *think* you can use anything made by the myriad of accessory/blade manufacturers out there.. as long as the arbor size is the same (thinking it should be 5/8"). You ought to be able to find a Sears dado table insert.

When I bought mine the dado inserts were hanging on the racks. Don't think there were any molding inserts. I make my own, so I can't help you with store bought. I use 1/2" MDF, 4 set screws for leveling, spray 'em red.

Joe is the man, but if I remember correctly ( and I might not), "zip code saw" uses same size throat plates as a left tilt Delta. Joe, congrats on your latest tip in Woodsmith. Bruce

+1 on make your own. They're quick, cheap and will provide better clearance minimums than the factory jobs. I don't know if I got a dado insert or not with my 22124. There's a box over the rafters with the guard, rear table, side table, etc. in it.

These fit like a glove:
Leecraft-DL-1U (http://www.amazon.com/Leecraft-DL-1U-Clearance-Table-Insert/dp/B0000223VB/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=hi&qid=1237605676&sr=8-1)

Joe's inserts look great too.....if you use MDF, I'd suggest adding a support strip lengthwise down the middle to prevent flexing. It doesn't take much flexing to effect the cut.
