Bolt fence rails to extension wings?

Just installed a Biesemeyer fence on my cabinet saw and have a question.

Should I bolt the fence rails to the extension wings? Or will this make shimming and adjusting the wings difficult later on?

My Steel City saw cam with the guide and the instructions had it all bolted together. I'm thinking once it's all set up it would be rare to have to go back and adjust stuff unless it's moved/bumped hard - ?

Same with my SC. I would bolt the wings to the bar just for the support it offers.
