I'm building a stand for a belt / disc sander. Top will be 12 x 23 plywood, legs of Douglas fir 2 x 3 milled to 1 3/8 x 2 1/4", aprons are Doug fir 1 3/8 x 3 3/8". There will be narrower stretchers lower on the stand.
My question is, what arrangement of dominoes to use for the apron/leg joint? This my first use of the Domino for this type of joinery, and really have no idea what is required for strength. The sander weighs about 100 pounds, and I may need to shift the stand from time to time, so I want it to be stout.
Would a single 10 x 50mm do the trick, or should I go for a combination of smaller ones, and if so, how many of what size?
Thanks for your guidance.
