Turned this flowering Crabapple bowl to finish a bit better than 2 years ago, and thought it was about time to get it finished :D, it is just thicker than ⅛" but a hair thinner than ³/₁₆", quite a light weight ;)
It has 2 coats of polymerized tung oil on it, and I think it could use a bit more :).
Any and all comments appreciated :D

Beautiful work Leo! Glad to see that the bark managed to stay on! Very pretty wood! Looks like a small amount of curl in the top area of the second photo! Very nice!

Nice looking piece Leo.

It has such an airy feel about like a feather or a leaf.

Leo,

Beautiful natural edge bowl. Looks great just the way it is. By the way what are you using to hold it down to the table:cool:.

Leo, That bowl looks like it is in motion or floating on the wind! Very nice and "Thin to Win!!" What happened to the tree? Is the neighbor still wondering where it went? HA HA!!! I just have to mess with you a bit Leo!!

Great bowl!!

Really nice job Leo. I too am a fan of polymerized tung oil finishes - out of curiosity, what brand of PTO do you prefer. PM me if you like.

OOh forgot all about this one, thank you for all the comments, sorry for not replying a little earlier, Steven just some coffee ground keeps it earthbound ;),
and Jeff, yes the neighbors did give me the tree, so they know all about it :D.
Tom I get my Polymerized Tung Oil from Lee Valley, don't know who actually makes it, but Im very pleased with the quality and their service is second to none.

that looks really nice Leo and I like the form how it has such a light feeling to it. the openness of it does that.
