Ok so I went to Rockler with $100 X-mas $ that I just got from my dad (not very close with him) so I figured get something good! so I bought a 1.5x1.5x12 chunk of some nice tulipwood and a 3/8" Robert Sorby Bowl Gouge :D:D:D:D:D I'm just still excited off getting it. figured I should post. I'll get to cutting with it soon.

Jarrod - congrats on your belated Christmas funds! You picked up a real nice bowl gouge that should serve you well for a long time! Have fun using it! Hope to see some photos of what you turn using it - real soon!

ya Steve I do too haha. I'll try and when I get these logs I got waiting to be cut and turned I'll put the pics up. I'm learning a lot and I really like this forum. it sure helps. Thanks

Hey Jarrod, sounds like you spent your $ wisely. You know, you might give your Dad one of your creations and that could lead to even more $ to spend on your turning addiction, or better yet, you could ask him to help. Just a thought!

Tony, I would but we aren't too close. I'll keep it in mind though. and I love the new tool!!! it's great. And thanks a lot Santa, I mean Doug. I'll be watching for California's finest. I really appreciate it.
