Having never done one of these it was a challenge. I learned a few things which is good. I did this with no waste blocks at a speed of about 1700 rpm. Anyway it measures 9-3/16" x 3-3/4" x 6" to the top of the finial. Finished with antique oil and buffed. Thanks for looking and as always comments/critiques are welcome.

Well - this one brought a smile to my face! Really cool design! Love the imagination! Don't know what to call this winged form other than Artful!! Very nice work! Must have made one heck of a whirling sound while spinning around 1700 rpm! Thanks Keith!

Very nice job! You have actually turned two boxes here and managed to match the curves brilliantly.
Well Done!

Looks great. My favorite part of all of your work are your finials.

I like the form and the finial looks nice. I bet, like Steve said, it sounded like an airplane.

Keith,
Did you have to tie the lathe down so it didn't take off? You know those Oneway's do kind of look like a plane.
