Hello,
Does anyone know of a source for "dry" 12/4 walnut wood for furniture legs within 100 miles of Nashville, TN. If air dried, must be stack for 3 or more years. Does anyone know of a sawmill with a onsite kiln near Nashville. I appreciate your help. Thank You.

Try Summer's Lumber in La Vergne. Ask for Jessie.

Supposedly there is a place in Jamestown, NNE of Cookville, that has good lumber. Driving by it, you wouldn't know it. Its inbetween Jamestown and the park.

Karl,
There are a ton of sawmills around here. Up into Kentucky there are even more. Millions of board feet sitting in the yard, etc.....
Actually a huge bulk of cherry that is distributed in Tennessee come from a yard not 10 miles or so from my house.
Problem with these places is they sell by the semi-truck load. I have a few decent retailers around here that I have found, but still not one I would call "excellent".

Have you tried Middle Tennessee Lumber in Dickson. They have Walnut. I don't know if they have 12/4. It is all Kiln dried.

I checked both places today and neither company had 8/12 or 4/12 Walnut. Looks like I need to locate a company out of town. Thanks for you help. Doug
