Even the dog had sense enough to bail out at the 24 second mark!
Great post. Thanks!

At least he had safety glasses on, so when that board shoots back at him, his eyes will be ok. :D

Mike,
It demonstrates the correct way to do something. I'm not sure what. I think it involves previous ingestion of behavior modifying substances....

Edit to add: Nice dog.

Was there a taxi in the garage? If so, it would suggest this guy is qualified for something. Using a table saw sure isn't it.

My thoughts exactly. What was the point of taking and posting a video of a rip cut, done poorly, and the saw that did it?.

After researching chainsaws I thought it was funny how many people has posted a video like this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oZpdaXMVczY&feature=related

Dave,
Boy and didn't he slam it to those imaginary trees! That one on the left must have been a monster: his saw stalled out TWICE!

My guess is that these folks are offering these tools for sale - providing video of the items in use.

Back a few years when I was looking to by a TS I seriously considered the Ryobi until I looked underneath. I don't know about now but then the saw was basicly a circular saw motor under there.
A fellow who saw me checking out the saws suggested that I check out the Jet brand if I could budget a few more bucks. I did and it was a good tip. I have been very happy with the Jet.
I try to work safe and teach my sons who share the shop to respect the tools.
