has anyone used one of these I now have the ability to power one in that came across a great deal on a Quincy QT-5 compressor new for about 50% off.

I haven't used the festool but you might look at the Dynabrade orbital sanders. They have been a mainstay for years. I have a couple and they work great and are a lot less expensive than the festool.
