This Red Cedar HF is 13 tall and 7 1/2 wide. Finished with min wax wipe on gloss poly. The final coat was minwax spray on poly then sanded to flatten the finish with 1200 grit black paper, buffed with all 3 wheels. I turned the bark off of this and about threw it out. There were 2 large checks that went nearly to center. I packed the checks full of red cedar dust and filled repetadly with CA. Ended up coming out ok. I really though it would fly apart while hollowing...Bill...

Great looking piece Bill. Really like the form and finish is beautiful. Bill what I do sometimes on cracks like that are to mix epoxy up and then mix in sanding dust. Fill the crack with that and it seems to do a excellent job.
