Quick question....

When making double doors with rabbeted edges that will overlap when closed, which door should open first? The right, or the left??

Drawing up some plans for carraige doors this evening and not sure if there is some standard I should be following.

I suppose it depends if you're left handed or not . .. just kidding. I have a few cabinets of this type (not mine) and the right door opens first on all of them (different makers and bought at different times). HTH.

In the lab where I work part time the base cabinets (commercially made) have doors where the right overlaps the left.
