I know the old JET 18" bandsaw did not get very good reviews but I was looking at one of the new JET saw with the new backbone and it looks to be a very well built tool. Any first hand experience with this tool?
I wonder how it compares with the Grizzly O513x2.

I've been using the newer JET 18QT for a bit over a year now and am very happy with it. I spent 30-some years building triangles into race cars because of how rigid they are so thought this was a natural for a bandsaw backbone. If this thing has flex, it si small enough that I haven't been able to find it. I love the capacity and the oversized (and solid steel) resaw bar. Plenty of power also.
I have a full review of this machine with photos and a video at my newwoodworker.com site if that would help.

Sorry. I have not looked at Grizzly tools so can't speak to them.
