Hi Everyone,

I'm new to Sawmill Creek and just want to introduce myself and share my business info. In November ' 08 I started the EMBLAZER Laser Etching Studio in St. Louis, Missouri. Here's a link to my website if you'd like to check out my photo gallery and commercial: emblazer.net
I'm also starting a company doing custom CNC wood carving with my home built CNC machine. Here are some links to photos of completed projects and of the machine build.

Looking forward to learning from each other.

Welcome to The Creek! I liked how you built your on CNC Router. I have been thinking about building one myself. And your website looks great! Hope to hear more from you. Looks like you have got it going for you.

Welcome to the Creek Roland. Is that your post on Youtube using an Epilog Mini 24?

Hi Frank,
Yep, that's my Epilog in the YouTube video. The woman at the computer is an actor though. However, the MacBook featured at the beginning of the video is the one I etched the RCA Indian Head Test Card onto.

Thanks John,

The CNC machine build was really a lot of fun, very challenging and satisfying. I highly recommend the process as a learning experience for anyone with intermediate carpentry skills. Looks like there is a really great forum here for CNC machine users as well, I'll be diving into that group sometime in the next couple of weeks.

Hi Roland,
I'm a total newbie to the forum here and just came across your post.
I just completed the mechanical build of the same cnc machine.
I have yet to buy the motors and drives. During the build I was doing more research and find the choice is very broad. I do look forward to finishing the thing and cutting wood. I started with a Roland MDX-15 3D printer.
Any how, good luck with it and thanks for the pics.
