I posted a thread on my first sketchup project over in the design forum. Well, here it is - All done but the finishing. I'm going to let the Teak Oil dry for a week because cocobolo is oily to start with. Then finish it with shellac, then flock the bottoms .... not sure what color yet.

Now that is one good looking box Ed.....

I showed my wife and she wants you to build her one.

Excellent job and thanks for the look.

Ed, that's a beautiful box and the Sketch Up drawing is fantastic. Both are things that I'm hoping to be able to do in the near future. I'm definitely finding that making boxes isn't as easy as it looks, especially one like you made and Sketch Up is a challenge.

You'll be lucky Gary if she doesn't put one on your "honey do list." I've learned the hard way not to show TLOML (SWMBO) beautiful items like Ed's box. That way I don't have to make one for her.:D

Wow, that is a beautiful box, Ed. Absolutely stunning. When you get the finish and flocking on, post some pictures of it opened up, please. :)

Oh no.... you are a dangerous man with tools alone... now you have sketch-up to power them. I'm calling Flowery Branch 911.. :D

I believe I already commented on this excellent design on your web-site. It will cost you 40 board feet of Spanish Cedar to get another compliment neighbor. :)

Regards...

Sarge..
