Here are a couple bowls that I finished recently. The one with the burned/textured edge is 12-13 inches, and the one with the beads is about 13 inches in diameter and about 8 inches talls. I used Watco Natural Oil and buffed to finish. Comments welcome.

Jeff, those are very nice...looks like you got plenty of practice making beads....I really like the one with the burned top..never thought about that before but it looks good

Pretty groovy bowls! I guess I'm showing my age. Seriously, nice work, cherry is so fun to turn.

Jeff - very nice work on both bowls! Great job on the bowl with all the beads! Very symmetrical, very clean! Personally, I like the first bowl better and not because of the burned rim. I find the limited number of detail lines draws the attention to the opening of the bowl. To me - this is a great example of less is more!

Great looking woods on both of these bowls and they should get even better looking with time! Nice work - thanks for sharing!

As a beginner I find that making a bead is easy...making many the same is hard. Did you use a beading tool on those or are they freehand. WOW they are very symmetrical!

Dewey,

Sure wish I could say that I did all those beads freehand, but I cheated and used a beading tool.

Well at least you are honest. I admire that.:)
