This is not a gloat, but wood is wood! My buddy who owns a tree service called me and gave me the first load of the year. It is white pine and chinese elm. The big butt end piece will either be turned or made into a table of some sort. I have 2 like it so I can mess up once. There are 25 logs and misc chunks in the truck. Lots of work and I am tired. The urban logger strikes again!!

Have a spinny day!

Jeff

P.S. to Jim Kountz: Here is the log hauler in all its glory!

Man - now that took some work to load/unload! I understand why you might be a little tired! Nice gloat! Should keep you in wood for a couple of weeks!

Wow! Great gloat, Jeff. Free wood is always the right wood.

All the best.

This is not a gloat, but wood is wood!

Come on, now you're just being modest. :)

Yep, thats a nice haul!

I like the hoist on the small trailer too....good idea.

Does soaking the logs in muddy water keep them "fresher" longer??:D;)

Thanks all! I can't help myself when it comes to wood! I will be sawing it up today and I will post some after pics of it cut in to lumber and turning blank stock. The little lifting I-beam is sure a life saver, when I first met Mark we loaded the stuff by hand. We used pry bars bottle jacks and lots of dunnage to get the bigger logs on the trailer! The 1 ton chain hoist works very well. My buddy does not work most weekends cutting down trees so I have a couple days to get ahead!

Thanks again,

Jeff
