Grizzly G0656 - Fair price

I have a tentative deal for a 9 month old G0656 for $500. Thoughts?

This is the top end of my jointer budget. I know I can get a 6" for less, but figured a solid 8" is worth the extra $$$.

I'd say so. 55% of the new cost (no free shipping on this) is a good deal, assuming it's in good condition....

grab it. I have a grizzly 8" jointer and it works good. there is some vibration but I think it is mostly because I have not aligned the pulleys properly

I would get it assuming it is in good shape. I have a 6" jointer, and it is frustrating at times because of the number of boards that are greater than 6". I doubt you will be disappointed in getting the 8".

Oh yeah! Ponying up for an 8" is worth every penny. And the Grizzly is a good machine.
