Anybody use magnets to position a router fence on a cast-iron table?

You mean as part of a micro-adjust?

Magnets slide too easily for me to trust.

I mean magnets that actually attach the fence to the cast-iron table.

There are some mighty powerful magnets that are available. I have a few that are about the size of a quarter and 3/4 inch thick that will hurt you if you get between the magnet and the right type of metal.

I use the larger 30mm magjigs to attach an Incra LS positioner to a steel/cast iron extension on my tablesaw. 4 magjigs hold the fence down but only two are needed. I was worried that it might slip so I also glued 320 grit sandpaper to the bottom of the board. I can't get my fence to move no matter how much force I put against the fence. The board that holds the positioner could also be clamped to right side of the extension if I ever detect any movement. So far I havn't even after waxing the table.
