Does anyone have any suggestions on building a torsion box for a TS extension. I recently posted a ? on how to build an extension table for my unisaw and the torsion box seems to be the best approach, but I have never made one so I'm looking for suggestions. Thanks for the help.

When I made a new mobile base for my Unisaw, I made a new right extension table and new out feed table with drop-down using half torsion boxes (no bottom skin). The web was made from hardwood and joined with halved joints, the top was 1/2" MDF covered with high pressure laminate. They have worked well, are light and flat. (the assembly table is a torsion box also). Here is a link to the NCWW thread. (http://www.ncwoodworker.net/forums/f31/unisaw-mobile-base-table-improvement-w-many-pics-3227/?highlight=table)
