:D

I have been struggling mightly with using a bowl gouge. Getting tons of catches and wildly unsmooth cuts. Well last night I had a great session with the gouge. What a treat :D. A light bulb switch on with how to use it, plus it was the first time using it since I got the wolverine sharpening system - previous to that I was ust trying to freehand it at the grinder. I was so please at how it was cutting. I guess properly (or at least closer to properly), sharpended tools do make a huge difference....

I'm just tickled pink this morning and wanted to share :o.

Gordon - the way your gouge is sharpened makes a huge difference in the way it handles! Sounds like the wolverine system may have solved your handling problem! If you still have troubles with your gouge - you may want to watch Bill Grumbine's DVD 'Turned Bowls Made Easy' as he explains in detail how to get the most out of your bowl gouge!

Have fun with it! My bowl gouges are my favorite tools to use!
