My LOML turned this little bowl and done some burning around the sides...it has no finish on it yet. she will do that later... what do ya think. its her second bowl. and had no help

David - that is folk art at it's finest! Great form, natural color, texture and woodburning! I would be afraid of putting a finish on it in case it changed the color! Love it as is! Be sure to tell your wife - this is outstanding! Thanks for sharing!

I gave the invite to my wife last night. Not sure she is ever going to try it but she didn't outright say no way so there is some promise there.

She laughs every time I offer to let her play out there (thats ok though, it's my place to escape :D) David tell your wife that bowl looks great, she sure has a steady hand with the wood burner. I know I'd never be able to make something look that good.

AHA the smell of a 2 lathe shop is in the air. Lets see, the last time my wife came into the shop was '03 or was it '04? Lucky man.Max

Thanks for the kind words I think !!!...I let the wife read all the great things that yall had to say about her bowl and now she wants to do another.....yall are right it may be a 2 lathe shop soon

My wonderful wife supports me 1000% in the shop but does not come in the shop often - lucky you - you guys have something in common and can be together doing it:D Great job!!!

Are you left handed??? As you are standing with the turning tool in your left hand. I am left handed and find it awkward sometimes holding the tool.

Jack Im not left handed just not smart enough to find the right side of the lathe
