Part of the tax return covered the LV Skew Rabbet plane and the part of the yearly bonus took care of the chisels.

Now I understand what all of you were saying about how well the LN chisels are balanced. They just seem to become an extension of your hand. A very, very sharp extension of your hand.

Nice score! Would love to hear comments on the skew rabbet plane. Seriously considered getting one.

I spent some time setting one up at the "plane days" at the local LV. It's a bit fiddly to set up the nicker perfectly, but once set it doesn't need further adjustment.

I ended up buying one myself...but haven't had time to set it up yet.
