Resurfacing old stairs or replacing treads has always been a difficult and time consuming job. One of my reps showed me a new product for resurfacing stairs which looks like a great product. The treads come unfinished or prefinished with stain and clear. A 36" tread, finished cost about $40.00.

Thanks for the link Richard. I'm an architect and do a lot of residential work, including additions and renovations. This is an interesting product.

I'm going to take a look at this for my own stair case as well.
