In trying to fit a vacuum adapter to my new Vicmarc 300 VL, it was pointed out to me that the outboard side of the spindle on this lathe has internal threading. I see on the Vicmark site that they have a vacuum adapter with a male threaded end that would fit into this internal threading. I would like to duplicate that design but can't find the thread size anywhere. Anyone know what it might be? Thanks.

I don't know, but I could look in the manual. I will tell you what I find out.

Question solved. Just received an email from the Vicmarc factory:

As we don’t know where you from, we can tell you all the threads on our machines. The machines for the US are 1 ¼” x 8 inboard and outboard, EU are M33x3.5 inboard and outboard and AUS are M30x3.5 inboard and outboard. All of our spindles have adaptors on the outboard side, the threads on the outboard side of the spindle itself are M24x2 and M32x2 and the internal thread is M16x1.5.

Hope this helps
