A couple years ago, on this forum or another one we had a bonker turning contest. I got disqualified for some reason, I'm sure it was unfair,.. but anyway. Well I bought a Dave Thompson gouge the other day and was looking for something to make a handle out of. Darn if that old "disqualified" bonker fall off a shelf and bonk me on the head! Wal la handle material. Here it is all re-turned:

Ah come on...you are not going to tell me your first bonker had a Celtic knot are you? If so then that is why were disqualified.

Very nice form and design. Another example of why we never throw leftovers away.

Pretty fancy handle there Paul! It pays to hang on to scraps of wood cause you just never know when will be needed for a project!

Good recycle Paul! Dontcha just hate it when a guy's tool handle is better than your regular turnings?
