I'm having problems displaying long threads. My options are set to display 40 posts per page.

If I view the "Tansu" thread in the woodworking forum, it splits it into two pages and puts 40 posts on the first page.

If I view the "joint-genie vs Dowelmax (http://sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?t=83449)" thread, it only shows 24 of the 31 posts, and doesn't give any options to view another page. To view the missing posts I have to hit the "More replies below current depth" in the tree view at the top.

Any ideas what is going on?

I think it is the way the forum is set up.

I am a member of several forums and I prefer the strictly linear chronologic set up as opposed to the reply tree type.

But I love the forum so far otherwise:D

Chris...I don't have any clue why you are having a problem. I just viewed the http://sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?t=83449 thread ...all of it on one page.

That's under your control...visit your User CP (link at the top of any page) and change your display preference to linear.

Were you in linear or hybrid mode? In linear mode I see all 35 posts.

In hybrid mode it only shows 25 on the initial viewing. If I hit the "More replies below current depth" in the tree view at the top then it opens another page with 11 posts. (There's one message that gets displayed in both cases.)

As mentioned before, my limit is set to 40 so they should all be on a single page.
